Frequently Asked Questions by David McLean, Maine Home Inspector

A home inspector examines structural and installed systems for potential safety issues. Their report can often help make decisions on the buyer or seller’s investment, however for estimating the monetary value of a home a bank will want you to have an Appraiser that will compare the property to comparable real estate.

Depending on dimensions of the space and amount of work, it takes from 2 – 4 hrs not counting preparing a report.

We provide a digital and a printed report.

Our Maine home inspector provides home inspections for both sellers and buyers. Sometimes a seller wants to take care of problems before putting it on the market and will supply the buyer with the report as an added value. Predominately we work with real estate agents and buyers.

We offer a free phone or email consultation. Give us a call and we can talk about your property.
